arvato government services secures Public Private Partnership with Sefton

arvato government services has been awarded a contract by Sefton Metropolitan Borough Council for a ten year strategic partnership to deliver Finance and Information Services as part of its Major Services Review.

The Finance and Information Services contract includes Revenue, Benefits, Accounts Payable and ICT services as well as Payroll, Transactional HR and Customer Services.

To support the delivery of these services, approximately 450 Council employees will transfer to arvato government services under TUPE on 1st October 2008.

Rainer Majcen, managing director of arvato government services, said: “We are looking forward to delivering first class public services with Sefton Council - and we will do this by achieving our shared goals of increasing the quality and efficiency of services to provide real benefits to residents and local businesses while reducing costs.

“This is a very exciting time for us - and this new partnership represents an important milestone in the extension of arvato government service’s award-winning public sector offering in the UK.

“It provides us with another opportunity to demonstrate how we work in partnership with a local authority to transform its services to meet the local needs and aspirations.”

Leader of Sefton Council, Councillor Tony Robertson, said: “It has been a major step forward for the Council and the residents of Sefton that we have been able to form a partnership with a major company with an excellent track record in providing high quality services and value for money.”
