Working with the environment in mind

At arvato government services, we take our environmental responsibilities seriously. We integrate environmental considerations into our decision making and are committed to continual improvement of our environmental performance.

To help us achieve our environmental goals, we have established an Environmental Management Section (EMS) team to audit our operations. Our EMS team measures our environmental impacts and ensures that all our systems and practices are maintained in strict accordance with international environmental standards. The EMS team also provides regular updates for staff on our performance and conducts frequent information sessions, for example on saving energy, minimising waste and making efficient use of resources.

We also work closely with East Riding of Yorkshire Council and Sefton Metropolitan Borough Council to help them fulfil their wider environmental agendas for the communities they serve.

As proof of our environmental commitment to go beyond legal compliance and continually improve our environmental performance, arvato government services (ERYC) recently retained its Eco-Management & Audit Scheme (EMAS) accreditation. A requirement of EMAS is that we produce a regular public environmental statement, which is independently checked by an EMAS verifier for accuracy and reliability.

Not only is our environmental management good for the environment, it is good for our economic competitiveness and the efficiency of our public-private partners too.
